We especially enjoyed evening swims in the excellent pool and dinners on the patio watching the sunset. You must have a car to get to Potami House and to get around the island. Host Spiros is a magnificent gardner and brought us treats from his fruit trees. He helped with some special requests and shared the history of the property and the chapel. The home is in the forest so there is some wildlife scurrying around at times. Adventurous travelers will not fine a more spectacular locale.

The... read more location is isolated, beautiful and peaceful - overlooking orchards and the sea at a distance. The terraces are heavenly to sit on and the pool a great temperature and size to swim in. The house is pretty inside and out - and nice and cool with the air conditioning when you need it.

You reach the property by going up a helter skelter of rocky track for over a mile. Not for the faint hearted - but totally worth it!! Skopelos is a small, friendly island with views and beaches that are breathtaking! Wonderful place!

Enjoy cascading plants, herbs and flowers while sipping a cool drink under the shade trees and grape arbor. We were lucky enough to be there when the apricot tree was full of delicious ripe apricots! The house decor is charming and comfortable and has everything you need to make your stay pleasant and relaxing.
